After nearly every skater, they flashed to a girl in the stands, about 20 years old maybe, with dark blonde/light brown hair, looking pretty pissed off. Who is she? Is she a skater who's injured and can't compete, or something? I tuned in about quarter after 9, so I never heard if they identified her.

Really? ISTR Sarah Hughes looking just like Emily Hughes looks--obviously, she's four years older now, but she looked like, well, a completely different person.

I think you might be referring to Kimmie Meissener. She was the 1st US skater to take to the ice and she started out 1st and then dropped to third. I think she was kind of pissed because other skaters kept getting higher scores and bumping her down. But I'm not sure because she wasn't exactly in the stands, but in kind of a boxed seating area.
