Ack, I hear you. I don't think that I've slipped during ordinary conversation yet, but I do have to monitor myself a little on occasion. I'll be darned if I let WoW suck the education from my speech...
I think she likes it because from where that chair is in the office, she can look straight down the hallway at the puppy in the kitchen, but still feel safe.
It didn't come out too well, but the sweater's actually sitting on a drying rack that's laid across the arms of the armchair.
Isn't it cold there? We had our heat switched on* back during the second week of October, although admittedly because it was that or wait until mid-November. But we had our first overnight freeze about that time.
*Because of the cooling system used out here in the desert, either the furnace OR the cooler can be operational at one time, not both, and so "turning on the heat" requires that one first go up on the roof and disconnect and drain the cooler and winterize it, before re-connecting and turning on the furnace. Because we were afraid there might be a problem with our ductwork, we hired professionals this year.
