I don't know; I've only caught glimpses of them.

Could you see at all what they looked like?

Some of them were dark and sort of spiny, and they were headed towards these glowing, white creatures. And there was a big, dark thing further off, but I didn't get a good look at it.

Glowing white creatures... that sounds like the Lumens. But they've always been around, while the others definitely haven't... especially not anything that big.
