You've done much better on the current books than me. I can never remember which ones people have said are good, etc. So I just fall back on the classics. Last summer I read Lolita and Something Wicked This Way Comes. You should try some Russian literature. I love Dostoevsky, very existentialist.

I've tried! I tried getting into Cancer Ward, which is one of Sweetie's favorite books ever -- he loves Russian literature. I haven't been able to keep the epic cast of character straight, not even with the help of the handy index!

I didn't comment over at yours, but I was impressed with the breadth of your reading as well. I went crazy for literature in high school and after college, and many of those are on here. I've got Oryx and Crake on mp3, ready to listen.
