Music Randomness

So its Saturday and random thinking time!

I was just in the shower and thinking what my all time most influential or profound songs so here are my top 5 (in no particular order): -

Frou Frou - Let GoIt is easily my favourite song above any other. I'm not sure why really - it just forms the perfect mix of a song for me and the lyrics somehow seem ( Read more... )

And I introduced you to the first two of course ;-) I'd bought the frou frou album on my birthday a few weeks before I first met you. Alanis, well, I drilled her into your brain in the first few years I'm sure ;)

Let Go reminds me of trying to sleep at Kensington and Crossharbour. We used to play it falling asleep back when we were all new and young. those were the days :p We don't listen to music to sleep anymore...

Hmm I dunno what my complete top five are, but Let Go has to be one of them. Something very special about that song.

Good selection you've got methinks ;)

I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't love Let Go. I love it too and blame Mr Braff for it!

A top 5 is majorly difficult for me as I am pretty much constantly listening to music. However, I have compiled a list of no particular order.

Lovely Head - Goldfrapp

This entire album makes me think, with great fondness, of good times spent in Edinburgh with my ex-flatmate Chris. He introduced me to the album when it was brand new and I have loved it since. When I hear it, I immediately think of one incident where we had been Christmas shopping at the market in Princes Street (Casp will know how good it is!) and then 3 of us crashing out on sofas, listening to the album in complete silence and then falling asleep. A very good memory for me.

Way to Fall - Starsailor

This song made me almost cry when I listened to it the day after one of our good, good friends left to go home to Australia. Believe me, almost crying about something is as close as I ever get so it was moment which has stayed with me since. Troy, where are you now?!

I hope you don't mind me adding you. We share a mutual friend and I love that you have a William Blake quote on your info page.
