Love Soup is on soon (I'm pretty sure it's on Mondays), so I'll bang out a quick entry, which is mostly complete random shite.

This is something I have learnt (and not only from Love Actually)-- American girls love British guys. Right? Right. So what I want to know is, does it work vice versa? As in, do American guys dig British girls? I ask ( Read more... )

Thanks :D
I would love to come to New York! There's a chance I'll be there some time in the next year anyway, even if I don't get to go there for studies; my grandad goes regularly to visit my aunt, and I don't remember my last visit-- I was only 18 months old. I'd like some lasting memories!

Oh awesome! I'll add you, of course :D Always happy to meet like-minded people!

I like Oasis' music-- I can't admit to appreciating the actualyl band members, although I admire Noel's songwriting talents-- anybody who can write raw emotion so well gets major plus points.

The Beatles, on the other hand, are PURE LOVE. As, of course, are horses.

You live near Loch Ness! Sorry, but that is just cool. I am convinced of the existence of the monster (sssh, don't tell me otherwise!)

Glad to know you.

Yay! Thank you very much!

ps. I think that Nessie is real too. sometimes me and my friends take the horses down to the loch and go swimming in it. It's so much fun!

'Just shows how non-specific art is, and how it's a complete waste of time to do anything meaningful. Everyone else will read different things into it.'

That's why I sometimes wonder whether it's the right thing that I'm doing Eng Lit. :)

Oh, but you are. Don't you dare abandon the Arts movement for those damn Science people! (You're not a science person, aer you?) I didn't mean that I wanted to give up on the arts-- different readings are one of my favourite things. It just seems a little pointless to try to convey something so strongly, since no doubt it will be interpreted entirely differently by others.

English Lit. is the best subject :)

Nah, I'm not a scientist, though I enjoyed Biology, and I was fairly good at it, considering. But it's just too impersonal for me - no human connections, just a lot of test tubes

I agree. ^_^
