WHEW!

I don't think I've ever felt relief quite on the scale I did half an hour ago. About a month ago I had to write a shitty essay on panopticonism and how it influences drug using behaviour. Anyway! I was sure I had failed. Absolutely positive about it and was already starting to plan out how I would have to alter my degree to fit in another subject ( ( Read more... )

I honestly tried to read that but it kinda just wooshed right over my head. I did have the same thing happen to me with an assessment though - I was unsure if I was going to pass then I got a high distinction. I was overjoyed at first, and then kinda sad for the expectations of the marker because I knew there were so many problems/mistakes that it definitely wasn't HD worthy. Then I got really annoyed because now I had the chance to average a HD or a distinction over the subject if I got one on my last assessment (because I'd gotten one on the assessment beforehand too) and I hated the pressure. I ended up only passing the last assessment which was weighted at 50% of the subject marks, dragging my average way down to a credit instead :(

btw, awesome Sherlock gifs. That show is brilliant :)

Oh and congrats on the mark :D

Hahaha - good on you for even attempting to read that load of dribble. And don't worry, it completely flies over my head too and I'm the one who wrote it! :P

This subject was the most infuriating one I've ever taken and should I ever met the woman who 'taught' it I shall feel no shame in beating her to a pulp wherever she may stand! *grumbles* Ew. That's super sucks. Would you like me to beat up that course coordinator too?

Haha, thanks. They're pretty awesome and the show is beyond brilliant. Moffat is a genius and I love shows that has some intelligence in them. :P

Thank you. ^.^

So you study long distance too?

Anyway - Sherlock. So much love for that show! And the actors. Gah! Brilliant. Plus I may or may not have a crush on Martin Freeman... :P He's so gorgeous.

No, actually. I'm face-to-face, living only 30 minutes from the uni. The course, however (and for some ungodly reason!), was only delivered online. Bad move on the uni's part. Nobody who took the subject left kind feedback.

What are you studying, and through whom?

He is pretty awesome. Loved him in Hitchhikers and can't wait to see him as Bilbo! He's gonna make a perfect Bilbo.
To tell truth I'm a bit swoon-y for Benedict Cumberbatch. :P
