University of Michigan is an awesome college. My cousin graduated there with a degree in journalism, she has a really nice job now. Michigan ain't so bad either. The winter is never-ending (I feel like it's Narnia sometimes with how long it is), still. The spring is nice (Besides meeting JOEY RICHTER would totally be worth it, right?:D) Just, don't drive 2 mph when it snows or I might have to kill you.
Haha, well, I was talking about Michigan the state. Although, most people refer to University of Michigan as just Michigan. You can get some pretty good scholarships I've heard.
My personal theory/experiences with college is that you will never understand/~truly know~ if a school is right for you unless you go there and can get a feel for yourself in the campus. The right school will be the one that feels best. I took about four college visits and I went to the one where I felt the most like I belonged :) (it helped that they accepted me in about two seconds and that it's on the tuition exchange list with the school my mom works at haha)
Other than that I say just figure out what you want to do the most - looks like journalism, and I love you for it, comm majors unite! - and also what you're looking for in a living environment. Big city or small college town? Huge sprawling campus or tiny liberal arts school? Too cold up north or too hot further south? etc. etc. It's as much about learning and getting a degree as it is about "this is the place I want to LIVE the next four years of my life."
