This is refreshingly hysterical!

I'm not sure if I liked the 'lizzie's', the future cast list, or just the general interweaving of fact and fiction.

I'm sure Jack would be proud of his legacy!

Applause, applause! Well done, lass!!

>I'm not sure if I liked the 'lizzie's',

So you begrudge the borderline-starved rumburner that little cooking fame?

>the future cast list, or just the general interweaving of fact and fiction.

Sorry for that; I did include a kind of warning in the summary that it was AU.

Bugggerbuggerhuggerbugger! I need to do some serious research on Pirates-age Pacific Island culture and you have completely messed with my brain!

Am laughing myself silly over Ian McKellen and Viggo Mortensen. And Miami airport. Can I get a lobster James lizzy here in England?

The construction was held together by ropes made from the outer fibrous shell of coconuts,
Wot, no human hair from their backs?

Drink some rum, then your brain will think it all makes sense.

I'm afraid you'd need to invent the precise recipe on your own if you want a lobster James lizzy.
The East India Trading Company should be able to provide the ingredients.

>>shell of coconuts,
>Wot, no human hair from their backs?

Now that you mention it - such hair would make a nice relic for the temple of Jack Sparrow.

hee! What an inspired encyclopedia entry!

Following the recent successful James Bond movie "Destroying everything is not enough" (starring Jack Davenport - Bond, Keira Knightley - bondgirl, Geoffrey Rush - villain)

I can't tell you how much I'd really really want to see that movie...
:)

I read this a terribly long time ago, and I can't believe I didn't have the courtesy to comment! My apologies!

That being said - this was hysterically funny! I was laughing through the entire thing: it really is brilliant, from the lizzies (Particularly lobster James lizzie - sick as it is, the "skewered" detail really got me) to the editorial comments about vandalism and the general piratitudiness of Hawai'i. The cast lists were a riot, too!

Now I really want to see "Destroying Everything Is Not Enough," - between the title and the cast!

Once again, fantastic job! *standing ovation*

Thank you kindly; glad you liked it.

I'm not into James Bond fanfiction, so, sadly, you'd have to write that movie yourself.
I have not given up hope, though, that Jack Davenport might one day get the Bond role. I think he'd be great.

My aunt married a Hawai'ian and I got sucked into studying some of the history as a child. I remember just enough of the history and culture to be laughing my ass off at this. If I wasn't at work, my husband would be wondering what was wrong with me. As it is, I think I cracked a rib trying not to laugh out loud.

This is an incredible mix of material and I cannot believe your creativity in putting it together. Thank you so much for sharing this little beauty with the world.

Glad you liked it.
So you read this while at work, stealing precious worktime from your employer? Very piratical, congratulations. *g*

Thank you, but I can assure you hardly any creativity was involved. It is all mostly stolen and patched together.
