I LOVE this. So funny! Yay for funny, angst-free PotC.

no doubt you will remember our troubles after that night in the haystack ... Those were the days.

That had me laughing out loud. Love your Weatherby, and your Elizabeth -- and her mother, too!

Great work!!

Glad that you like it.
I'm not averse to a bit of angst, as long as it is convincingly written, not completely out of character, and not plot-free violence just for the sake of hurting the characters. I'm only not good at writing that myself.

As for the friending, I have actually no idea what that does to an LJ, so I suppose I don't mind. Thank you.

"Heavens, I can only hope he was the gentleman (unlikely), or else that marriage to Turner can be arranged in a timely manner - no doubt you will remember our troubles after that night in the haystack ... Those were the days."

lol... That was laugh-out-loud funny!

Thanks for that - I shall be smiling for the rest of the day now. :)

Heee!
Not sure what I liked most: the fearsome lavender soap fiends, Weatherby twigging that Norrington was going for the uniform more than for Lizzie, or Weatherby's naughty past. And of course there's the mysterious Spanish lady with facial hair issues. Whoever she might be.

This is what AU should be all about. I demand a three volume epic follow-up.

Poor Jamie is of course still in denial, but isn't it telling that he proposed to the most boyish girl in town, and acted more forthright towards her when she was wearing man's clothes?

>This is what AU should be all about.

What, you mean AU is not about torturing all major characters, only to have the more attractive of them rescued by a glittery-haired princess of slender buxom built who ran away from her abusive parents to become a fearsome piratess at barely 14, more or less?

>I demand a three volume epic follow-up.

I'm flattered, but - get a grip, really.

Let's just assume that Jamie finds love with that mystery lady whose personal name indicates easy virtue, and leave it at that.

Oh yay! This was delightful! I laughed a lot.

Elizabeth's pretty tough, but a passed-out pirate *is* a little less formidable... and Weatherby's letter made me want to laugh and cry. He's a bit neurotic but we love him so.

Thanks for this!
