for my part, i stopped because i suddenly felt that what I was writing was no longer necessary and/or relevant to the world. I therefore, contributed to the stagnation. My apologies.
hey, Andy! Sadly, I contributed, too, by just disappearing. Your writing, and Vanessa's writing, and each of our friends' writing is important, and I hope you will start updating soon.
I know one of the only reasons I check lj anymore is to see if you or Meliss have updated. I don't write much more because there's not much for me to write. But I'm glad to hear you're feeling right.
P.S.: There's a little get together at my house on Thursday. It's gonna be a blast, and you should definately come.
Hey, you guys! I think we should all start writing again! I think it is important to keep in touch over the miles. James, it was more than fantastic to see you earlier this month, and I am thrilled that you will be joining Bible Study!!!!!
Text me your number, and I will be sure to give you a call when we resume for the new year!
Hey, Vaness, sorry to comment so much on this thread. :) I am so glad you broke your long silence; as you see, I did the same. I'm back! And I am excited that you deleted your facebook. I think I have been taking my cues from you.
I felt the same way, as you know, about the yearbooks (it is so funny how much we do in tandem). As always, I enjoy the specificity and detail in your writing. I liked in particular this line: Unpacking and repacking one's room is always...not an unpleasant task, but a uncomfortable one. You always stumble upon memorabilia that you would care to forget, which dredge up a flood of seemingly forgotten memories.
I completely agree. And I also liked what you wrote about that cloud that was overtaking our hearts and faces; I could see it too, when looking at photos in chronological succession. I am overwhelmed by how much God has spared us, and how deep His grace can go.
I think you should all start writing again. I'd like to read. :)
Anyway, Vaness, you are a wonderful person. There are many things I'd love to talk with you about in person...just....so much. I resonate with so much of what you are writing. And that's all I can really say now. I might actually update my journal again soon, about things that have been...sorta crashing down on me during the last days, things I needed, and things I am very thankful for. I am in an uncomfortable place right now, and I can see God in all of this and it just fills my heart with joy. And I will see your sister soon, which is rad. You should also come to Germany. I'd like to meet you.
