I woke up with a hangover and a cold that could cripple an elephant, wrote this, and went back to bed. Sometime after that I was dragged to a four-hour brunch and now I am posting this and dragging my ass to the gym. I sincerely hope this isn't terrible, and sincerely apologize if it is.

This makes me feel odd--comforted and heartbroken at once. The never-ending afternoons of heaven are a wonderful idea, but hard to fathom. Our little human concepts of time kind of cringes away from it, I guess, so I liked how in the beginning Bobby had a bit of trouble with it, until he finally let go and let himself have some joy.

How sad that Dean shows up without Sam, sad that he passed, but it's perfect that they'll all be together in the end.

To me, "Dark Side of the Moon" seemed to imply that the Supernatural universe's Heaven is mostly just a place where you can feel totally at peace (Ash in the bar, Dean setting off fireworks with his kid brother, Sam in a regular house enjoying regular company for the first time), which carries some bittersweet implications of its own (see, like, Sam and Dean have different definitions of "peace"). Which is a long-winded way of saying that "comforted and heartbroken" was about the best response I could hope for, so thank you!
