*contains my daddy!Sam feelings*
*but but but Dean is naturally suited to parenthood and Sam isn't, Sam is often self-absorbed and often fumbling and doesn't know how to dote the way Dean does and he's quicker to anger and quicker to self-righteousness but he has this gentleness in him that is absolutely innate and even though I think he'd be a messy, bumbling, insecure dad he's also so thoroughly versed in familial love--unconditional and total--because of Dean and I think particularly when the kids are Dean and Sammy Sam would just find it in him and literally power through on the strength of his own love alone and omg it's 2:30 Sparrow conTAIN YOUR SAM FEELINGS*

(This actually made me cry, mostly at the knowledge that our canon Sam and Dean are gone. Dean, anyway...Sam is just in the past. That really hurts, knowing that adult Dean is just gone, at the same time that little Dean is still Dean, just different. Crying and smiling by turns here.)

You pick excellent quotes for the beginning and cut text of each of your stories, by the way.
