I'm showing this to everyone who ever gave me a hard time about what a fidgeter I am :).

My current office chair probably won't last much beyond next year (graduation!) anyway, but after this I'm definitely trying something else. Even though I consciously keep my back straight when I sit, it still doesn't feel so great after working on those long papers.

I'm making my future plans with a treadmill desk in mind. I may not be able to have one in my office on whatever campus I end up waorking at, but I am determined that I will have one in my home. Everything I have read about treadmill desks has been glowing and people who use them say that you quickly become accustomed to the 1-2 m.p.h. pace and even forget that you are walking while you read your e-mails, research, write, surf the net, game, etc. One man even lost 50 pounds just by using a treadmill desk to play World of Warcraft instead of sitting in a chair to play ( ... )

I've considered one of those too, but I'll have to see where I end up after graduation. It might be a pain in the neck to move into an apartment. I do my best thinking on the treadmill anyway, so that would probably boost my productivity :).

Yeah, pretty much the only reason I don't currently own a treadmill is because my apartment is too tiny to fit one in and who wants to haul something that heavy up three flights of stairs?

But my hope is that, once I've graduated and found a job somewhere, I can rent or buy a small house. Then I can have my treadmill desk, even if it means my office ends up being in the garage! LOL
