And what a great "recast" for Jack -- a ladies' dressmaker! He certainly is intimately acquainted with the female form, and I can't say his clientele wouldn't derive a great deal of pleasure having him personally "size them up" for a fitting! ;-)

Even though it's late, please allow me to comment a bit about it. Isn't it Captain Jack-ish? Of course he would be savvy with ladies' dresses!
Like my fellow commentor I liked the insinuation of other Johnny Depp Characters, though I took myself the liberty to find more than just one:
- His trainee is called Todd! And you use the term "a proper artist with a needle (Sweeney Tood: with a knife).
- As a matter of fact, Tarrant (the hatter) also quickly sews a dress for "tiny Alice". and of course:
- DJDM,
It's a great story, I can truly imagine them both, eaten between longing and denial until finally they couldn't!
You brought excellently out a certain tense atmosphere, just great!
