I've moved to New York, the heart of American Globalist-Capitalism. Also, ironically, home to what's left of American left wing radicalism. Actually the Working Families Party is particularly strong here. They are a left wing, union-backed party. That is always an inherent risk with any revolution. Progressive and reactionary forces are bound to conflict. Im not necessarily advocating revolution, but some sort of revolutionary change is necessary. If that can be done through our democratic institution, then so be it. I just dont believe it can. Our constitution is designed to stiffle meaningful change, and its designed to sacrifice the voice of the many for the voice of the few. Honestly, if revolutionary action started here in the states I see a break-up of this country. We dont have enough social and cultural cohesion to sustain a revolution as a united county. So the south might get fundementalism, the North east Progressive government, etc... I dont think fascism as a system is viable for very long. Any example of a fascist state has crumbled over its own contradictions(Spain is a good example, but there are others.) Death is a part of life, one must never sacrifice lives frivilously(IE: Stalin), but on the other hand very little progress has been achieved without at least ( ... )
