We had a family reunion in rural PA which was a blast. Nothing like seeing major fireworks for an hour parked out on the lawn of a farm, the fireworks seemingly going off over our heads.

After PA I headed to NJ and spent one day in NYC.

I never spoke of my knitting. I decided to expand my skills and so far have learned seed stitch. I've already made two slouchy hats, one for me and one for my sister, and an infinity scarf. My current projects are to make two blankets, a pale blue one for myself and a mauve one for my friend C. I'm over half done with my blanket and here it is on ( Read more... )

Ugh, I'm melting! I picked out an a/c and it's not in the store so they have to special order it. Most likely (I hope) I'll receive it next week and then schedule building maintenance to install it correctly for a small fee. I installed the ancient a/c and caused a lot of water damage last summer. Luckily that wasn't an issue when it came to ( Read more... )

In addition to riding the 1923 L train and going to the Art Institute's medieval exhibit I finished up the week by going to the Museum of Contemporary Art's exhibit on Takashi Murakami.
