Definitely. I feel like I can start to understand some of the conservative tentpoles now. I still feel like some of it is misinformed (opposing gay marriage can't be about protecting an institution that is already being badly abused by hetero marriages), but legitimately valuing other things is not something that should be dismissed out of hand.
