Ooh, and now I can remember to ask you if you did see Thor and what you thought of it.

I did see THOR, and I quite enjoyed it. It was an interesting combination of coming-of-age story and superhero origin story. But more to the point, the appeal of Thor as a character is that he was the antithesis of angsty. Yes, he had issues both personal and external to deal with, but he always faced them with optimism and determination. He was a lovable, meatheaded, happy-go-lucky guy, and I was definitely rooting for him. Also, Tom Hiddleston's Loki was absolutely perfect. The movie stood on the strength of the dynamic between Thor and Loki, and the characterizations were spot-on. Loki had understandable motivations, but you hated him anyway.

I wanted to go see it but did not have the chance.

A non-angsty hero does sound good.

Captain America is worth it for the Avengers Trailer at the end. And the movie's okay, too.
