The patch..

Are any of you ladies on the birth control patch? I just started it today and so far I dont like it. I'm petrified that it'll fall off, so I'm constantly checking it. I'm sure that will wear off eventually. The part that really bugs me is the stickiness. You know when you have a bandaid on and the edges are sticky so fluff starts to stick to it, ( Read more... )

I think my sister used the patch and hated it.. unless I'm thinking of someone else. (I don't use birth control, or I'd give you my own opinion) Now she uses the ring thing, I think?

yep yep

I didn't mind the patch at first but mine DID fall off. I wore it on my abdomen...well I tried every spot, but it was just not working. I talked to my doctor about it and she said that even if the edges are not totally attached it isn't as effective....

I LOVED the patch!!! It was so simple and easy!

1) always wear it on abdomin (like just under your panty/bikini line over an ovary... mine didn't stay well/looked hideous when i put it anywhere else

2) it will NOT fall off... i use to do things to TRY and make it fall off (aside from actually pulling it off) it won't come off. The edges might loosen a bit but the actual thing won't come off.

I would recommend going off the patch. I've heard that women run a much higher risk of certain heart problems or other birth control health related problems when on the patch. I have read a few articles related to it, but I wouldn't be able to tell you where I saw them. I'm sure you could Google it.

I use the Nuva ring and I LOVE it. I put it in and don't even think twice about birth control until my little alarm goes off reminding me to take it out. Seriously, it is awesome.
