Well, yesterday, Jess and I had our first ultrasound, and as you probably guessed from the title, it's a boy! Pics hereWe've decided to name him Sidney Collen (Colin? We never discussed spelling...) Martin. Sidney is the name of my grandfather, a man who died a few years ago who was very special to me, and Collen is very close to Jess' maiden ( Read more... )

Resist the temptation to add every cutesy little thing to the registry. Be sure to register mostly for stuff you really need. I've heard this regret from sooooo many people.

Mhmmmmmmmmmmmm. And if you want to be a super good husband, buy some pampering-type stuff for Jess when y'all have the baby shower. Everyone gets a million things for the baby but no one ever gets stuff for the mom. I make it a rule to buy Mommy presents for showers, and they're *always* appreciated.

Seriously, if I get pregnant I'll need some serious spoiling to keep me from taking bonghits in that bloated-and-sore state.

We weren't going to mention names until we knew the sex and got past the first 3-4 months. Both those milestones have been met, so...out with the name! =)
