Shadowed Glee

School is finally out and exams are over and all is well. First order of business: Grades. So i checked them out and here's the results:

English 110, Success Seminar for English Majors: B+
Japanese 130, Introductory Japanese III: A
English 485, Adolescent Literature: A
English 288, Major Writers of British Literature: B

Not half bad at all. In this we are well pleased.

I have spent the past week looking for a second job. EBT just isn't going to cut it this Summer. Payroll budgets aren't what we (including management) expected so we have to adjust accordingly. Perhaps a decent waiter position someplace will get me nice tips...the on-season is starting so mayhaps. Either way, i put in applications in some places i wouldn't mind working and we will wait and see. That doesn't mean i'm sitting on my arse though...still hopping out there and seeing what the nose can find. ::Nod::

I find myself spending more time with Nicole and her friend Krissy these days. At least, this week. Almost every night this past week i have spent with them. Monday night was Denny's per usual which was nice as it was spent with Jessica, Ryanne, and Nicole. However it ended somewhat un-shibby since Ryanne took a little spill of water too seriously. Whatever, i wasn't there to be looked at or treated like a child. I have better things to do with my time, so i left after that. Not that i wasn't due to leave anyway. Tuesday was spent at Broadway Louie's (in lieu of roller skating because the skating rink was shut down...sold for two million dollars (so the rumor is) sometime last week) playing pool and watching/listening to people sing on the open mic kareoke. Some were better than others, much better. I only won a single game of pool and even then only because of a technicallity (Krissy shot the 8-ball in on her first try). Wednesday we went to some bar called the Brick House where Krissy and i sang two songs on stage: "I Love Rock and Roll" and "Goodbye Earl". She refused to sing by herself, and i didn't feel like getting up there alone either. We fixed this by being fools together. Met a familiar face from Cat&Mouse there, April. Told her heylo, she didn't remember me yet she did remember Richard. I didn't expect her to remember me. Thursday night...i'm not sure i recall what we did Thursday night...i know i was out late per usual. During that day i was called into work, i thought it was to actually work the floor, no...it was to help clean up the store room. No biggie though, i get paid for it. ::Shrug:: Friday night i went with Krissy and Nicole to the "Grand Opening" of "007". Apparently they have been open before then...just not allowing live music to be played? Who knows. There was live local bands there...they were loud. Very VERY loud. Not my taste. However it was nice to get out and see people i suppose. Speaking of seeing people, i stumbled across a face i didn't expect to ever see again while we were at 007. Wolf, who not only happens to be an acquaintance of mine from Broadway Louie's (where he works/ed), but also happens to be Krissy's ex-boyfriend. Go figure, i didn't see that one coming. Apparently he hadn't seen her in almost two years. It was peculiar to watch them interract. It was nice to see him again though. Krissy doesn't share my sentiments, nor does Nicole.

So this leads me up to yesterday, Saturday. Saturday i worked for real. I was in at 15:00 and was due to get out at 21:00. I didn't get out until 21:45, and then got a phone call to go to B&N to check on Nicole and say heylo to Ryanne and Krissy who were working the closing shift. So i did. Things turned a little dramatic but that's ok because i needed the time to complete a little project of mine that i, of course, put off completing until the last moment. Funny how it always works out that way.

I also completed "Primal", a videogame that i borrowed from Krissy. It was quite nice, yet linear and short.

I have taken to carrying my sidebag with me everywhere now. I keep a few things in it such as: a pencil pouch with various writing utensils, my planner, a file portfolio for organizing letters and notes that also includes a wirebound notebook of wide ruled paper (good for writing notes), vitamins (which i forgot to take yesterday), a pair of scissors, some spare change, plastic letters ("M" and "R") for light up advertisements, a nail file, and last but not least my Brain Barf Book (B3). Odd combination but no single article not near as odd as the B3. The B3 is a lined journal which was given to me by, i believe, my sister Dove at some point yet was never written in because i am slow with my journals and i haven't finished the one Mum bought for me almost four years ago. This past Monday night with Jessica, Ryanne, and Nicole spurred me into suggesting that we all keep a log of random thoughts and thought trickles/waterfalls/deluges. I am not sure if Ryanne is keeping one, Jessica already seems to have one (where i got the idea from) and Nicole has one now. I wrote in mine for the first time on Friday, the thirteenth. Yhere is a two and a half page entry in response to the beginning of our evening and my interpretations of it in streaming thought. It is quite the adventure and i intend to stick with it as i find it somewhat cleansing and entertaining. Perhaps i shall post a few entries on here sometime. This most recent one has a nice section about a toad in it. ::Smirk::

Alright, enough from me. I have a store meeting at 10:00, which is going to suck. But at least i dun have to work. Nonetheless, let me rest. Stay safe and stay shibby.
