if you weren't already planning on seeing shoe shoe tonight at the eleventh cafe, you should.
because i'll be there, and frankly, that's all that matters.

I recently stumbled across your journal and I was struck by your despondency. The first thing that came to mind that could help you in both life and love is a quote from a very influential teacher you may have had. He said "have no expectations and you will never be disappointed". Everyone has their dreams of romance and they are healthy, but constantly fantasizing about shining knights and being "swept off of your feet" is unrealistic. Not to be a downer, but these dreams won't come true even if you post them on the internet. With such vivid expectations as yours, you will never be satisfied simply due to your fictitious standards. One compliment I would like to give you is on your photography. However I think your skills would improve and you become more well-rounded as a photographer if you had more diverse subject matter ( ie too many pictures of you looking melancholy)(not very interesting). You will never be happy if you focus only on the negative aspects of your life and dwell on them. Just know that people will eventually stop ( ... )

Wow. Aslyn, I'm exactly the same way. I dream about falling in love with the most perfectly imperfect boy and all my friends tell me to stop waiting and get on with my life. And its hard because when you have such a pretty picture in your head and believe that it can be and will be...you just don't want to believe that it might not and let go of the dream. It's like a perfect kiss. You want the first one with him to be fireworks but you worry that it may be less than you hoped for. So you wait and wait until the "perfect" moment. But sometimes those moments never seem perfect enough. So you might have missed out on one of those moments that could have surprised you. I'm definitely rambling now. But hopefully you're grasping some of this. Basically what I'm telling you is: don't lose sight of your dreams, but don't overlook other opportunities that may not present themselves as obviously.

I'm always here for you girl! <3Kat
