there's going to be RTD light rail, too, though that's probably only exciting for me.

I'm kind of starting to freak out because I'm finally decided on which story I want to write, but I haven't actuallly, you know, written any of it yet. I keep going back and adding more detail to the outline I have, but no actual writing of actual story text has taken place, and just -- aahhh. Classes start again next week, which actaully helps me organize my time better, so maybe I will be able to get down to it soon. My life is a mess right now ugh. I just feel really gross and disorganized and discouraged in general. You sound really productive to me right now, I'm jealous!

At least you have an outline, though!! That's definitely something. Can I ask what you're doing, or is it top secret?

Anyway, good luck!!

Gee, I almost feel guilty but...I have about 11K words right now, and I deleted a couple thousand yesterday, completely nuking one of the later chapters that I thought I wanted, but as it was getting written I fell out of like with it, it didn't do anything for the story...so it ended up on the MSWord equivalent of the cutting room floor ( ... )

Omg, take your 11k and get out, no one wants to hear that. But no, really, that's impressive. I'm jealous.

Thanks for the suggestion! I think I'll test it first, and start thinking about being rich.

I'm freaking out a little, but sometimes I have to freak out to be productive. D: I've changed my idea, like, twice, and finally settled on something that I've outlined, but it needs an ending and that kinda scares me, because I'm not 100% sure where it's going yet. (It's weird because I have more of the body of the story figured out rather than an end, where I usually start...) I just checked my document and somehow have 5k+ words of actual content so far, but it's mostly exposition and I'll probably delete a bunch of it soon, but at least having an outline feels nice.

It's good you have your outline! I hope the writing goes well. It can sometimes be kinda daunting working on something new and complicated/experimental, but having uncharted territory could make for great motivation as you're going through! If there are parts you're more confident about than others, maybe try working those out first? The other stuff will come together, definitely. :3

Same. If i'm feeling confident, I'm probably less likely to work. But then I end up freaking out over the fact that I'm freaking out, or something. I've had the same basic idea for the whole thing, but I've changed where I'm going with it like, idk, way too many times. But now that it's outlined, I'm saying fuck it, it's set in stone, I'm doing this. Anyway, even if you end up deleting/reworking it later, 5k is still a good start!! Maybe an ending will come to you as you go along?

Thanks! I usually can't write out of order, but there's so much going on in this one that I might have to this time, just to keep myself from getting distracted or discouraged.

I've got my new idea started and I like what I have so far, but there are a few details I still feel insecure and unsure about, some backstory stuff mostly. I also worry that Kyle will come off too clownish or insane, but I want him to be a little of each ... and I think this story is mostly a tragedy, though there's humor and sex and levity in it, too. I hope.

Well, I have total faith in your ability to write Kyle, so I bet he'll turn out just fine.

Good luck with yours, I'm really excited to read it!!
