If your music is too dark, you're listening to the wrong kind of metal. Real metal is supposed to be about killing dragons and fighting for what is right, not about being depressed or evil or anything stupid like that. Metal about partying and hot women is always acceptable too.

Now in seventh grade, I don't think I owned a single cd, and maybe less than five tapes. My brother had smashing pupkins and green day, which I still listen to on a regular basis, along with all the classical I started listening to shortly after, and the power metal and shredder music I started listening to by 12th.

In summary, I don't think my tastes have changed as far as no longer liking music I used to like, but liking that in addition to a ton of new stuff. The closest I come to not liking anything is from having so many cds now that each one gets heard less frequently than before.

also, being the only other maiden fan I know, you need to learn guitar.

If you wanna borrow one, I have plenty. Enough that I just sold one and may sell more because I'm out of room and have more than I can even maintain. If you didn't work when boldo tournaments are, I could bring one then.

I listened to a lot of crap back in the day, like Korn, and Slipknot. Now, I'm pretty much into Heavy metal, Power Metal, and the occasional classic rock. The transition for me was to less meaning, to deep down in your gut, and heartful meaning.
Whenever Im down though I just look down my playlist find a fast paced, high energy song, turn the sound way up, and just blast away all the sadness. Hell, I might even play a shooter or something with the music in the background.
I listen to music all the time, even when I'm in bed. That's when it really gets freaky. Well, in my case it doesn't but I create scenarios and stuff occording to the mood, and tone of the song. I love it. The ultimate freedom for me.

Im out, talk to you later!
