Yes, I'm happy that DD's been outed. Yes, it's important to the storyline because love and romantic relationships are an integral part of the entire series. Here's what I don't understand: If one loved the books before this revelation...then why should this change one's opinion now? I'm a bit shocked at the reactions of those who all of a sudden have decided these are now somehow different books, and those who no longer love them as much as they did prior to this news.

While I have a few questions about the timing, I still love the books; I still love the author; and I still love Dumbledore!

Because they didn't really love the books!

Perhaps they liked the magic, the hype surrounding them, the mystery, ect. But they didn't really love or understand the books overall, and that's why their opinions can be changed.
