Last summer A trailer for the much awaited resident evil 5 was published to a mixed reaction. On one hand you had veterans of the series who were excited to see the series take a new turn, then you had others play the race card. It's about humanity vs the zombies- or if you really have to go DEEP, it's about the evils of cooperate bullshit and the gub'ment.

when games are lead by blacks (ie 50 cent's game) or have tons of other minorities involved (grand theft auto, vice city, etc), ESP if they're doing something ppl think of them doing in the first place (ie. gang banging, drugging, whoring, etc) no one cares b/c when ppl or something maintains a stereotype, ppl just accept it. it's when you put that stereotype on its head, that ppl start to wake up ( ... )

I agree

there will be some closeted racists that will love the game for the wrong reasons, but the problem I have is mostly with the way the village voice reporter handled it .... he said specifically that if Chris redfield was black there would not be a problem with I think is a HUGE double standard. I'll try to find the article that pissed me off so you can see how offbase it is.
