Sassy's Last Days

On Sunday, November 4, 2012, I noticed my cream female hamster, Sassy breathing rapidly.  Recalling the same symptom in past hamsters, I suspected pneumonia, and that is what the vet diagnosed, too.  I've been giving her antibiotics everyday as instructed, but today, I found her still and not breathing, which meant death.  I had her for about 18

Sorry to hear that. Hamsters are cute, but I have bad luck with them. I was once taking care of a relative's hamster and it bit me on the foot. I had the scar for years.

My deepest condolences...

My cousins are having their Golden Retriever put down today after having had her for over 12 years I think. Do you think knowing exactly when they're leaving us lessens the pain any?
