[OOC] Player Info Meme
Because I keep forgetting to do this, and now that my schedule's settling down, I should. Heh.

Available on: E-mail, commenting to any of my journals, or by you topping me into showing up on gchat (usually s.lynn.d) or IRC (as Cass or Fiore, sometimes Batgirl or Sariel). o/ I also have Skype for voice or text chat, but again, this requires topping. I will sometimes randomly be on gchat or IRC! But mostly I fail at being on either. E-mail and comments are awesome. (And any of my e-mail accounts or any of my journals will get to me, including the journals that aren't on LJ and the account that isn't gmail.)

The Playing Experience:
- If you're threading with Cass, please, please keep me posted on body language things she should notice. I've been getting by with looking at icons/keywords + OOC knowledge (from the body language poll + canon familiarity + stalking people's threads), and I can handwave some misinterpretations on my part as "Cass used the wrong words" or "your body language is strange in ways she's not familiar with", but she's a body language godmode and I'm not. :< This especially applies to anyone playing a normal human or someone with largely normal-human body language, and to anyone she threads with longterm. I don't mind if you stick in a lot of action tags or OOC comments or spam my e-mail, really! It means I can play a better Cass. :-) And if you'd get annoyed by doing that, then please, bear with me if I misinterpret something?
- On the same note, feel free to tell me if I'm using action tags/OOC comments too much with Cass, and feel free to take meta-comments such as [happy Bat is happy!] or [dot dot dot wtf?] as "something that is really obvious from Cass's body language", unless I specifically add something like [--but is hiding it]. This isn't so much of an issue with Fiore, but Cass's first language is body language, and it can be tricky to translate into the journal format.
- I range from okay to bad at running both my characters at once, even with the widget, and it's worse if I'm trying to run them both in the same post. (Even if it's not my post.) So if I have one character out and you really want to tag the other, feel free to ask! But I'll be slow.
- My schedule does not, generally, sync well with CFUD's peak playing hours. Which means that I either thread sporadically throughout the day, or I thread for a couple hours straight and then vanish for class/sleep/whatever, and therefore have chunks of lag-time between comments. DO NOT FEEL OBLIGATED TO PICK UP THREADS I'VE LAGGED ON. Obviously, if you want to, that's awesome! But things like character/RP burnout or schedule issues or postrape or losing the comment notification all happen, and I'll understand completely if a response to a thread that's a few hours to a whole day late doesn't get another response. :-) The same thing goes for if you think a thread has reached a good ending point. If I really want to continue that thread specifically, I'll e-mail you to see why you dropped it; otherwise, we can just tag each other some other time!
- On that note, I can be erratic at picking up threads. Sometimes I accidentally delete notifications, or check a thread and then forget to respond, or get distracted with other stuff. Please, feel completely free to poke me if I drop a thread you want to continue! Or if you jump me somewhere and I don't respond.
- And feel free to jump me anytime, anywhere, except in the middle of OMGSERIOUS threads without asking first. :-)
Audience: Is shiny! Please don't interrupt any OMGSERIOUS threads, and please be careful about spoilers (Cass comes from pre-Robin IV, Fiore comes from the end of volume . . . drat, I can't remember. I remember the scene, but not the volume. 2, 3, or 4. I think. Stupid memory.), but other than that, we're cool. o/ Although I'll generally prioritize threads with other characters over audience threads, if I'm having issues.
Goals: Play moar. Build up my characters' relationships. Have Fiore stalk camp's shouta and loli population. Eventually, I want Cass to learn sign language (WHY DID CANON NOT TEACH HER THIS er).
Betaing: I can . . . do basic nitpicking! But I'm not that good at judging apps in general, and while I have an okay sense of voice, it's hard for me to put my issues with a voice into words. (This is why I don't usually comment to voting posts; unless a problem is REALLY CLEAR or an app is REALLY AWESOME, I generally can't explain what made me vote a certain way.) So I'd recommend asking pretty much anyone else before me, heh. I'm happy to discuss general apping or camp plans or whatever with you, though!
Concrit: I'd love to hear it. :-) I'm more confident with both characters now than I ever thought I'd be with Not My Characters™ (read: non-OCs that aren't from one very specific fandom, and/or OCs not created by me), but I definitely want to know if there are issues I'm overlooking. I have crit posts up on both accounts, I comment at the crit comm if I'm awake when the post goes up, and you can e-mail me or try to catch me in IRC/whatever too.
AUs: Non-sex AUs are awesome! (Seriously, I'm addicted to the things.) Sex AUs are . . . unlikely, but you can ask! o/
Pimping: Fiore's canon is available on OneManga, complete with awesome epilogue that we haven't been able to find on any other site; however, I can't recommend the official English translations enough. Cass's canon is . . . special. Oh DC. I have almost every issue she's ever appeared in saved to my hard drive, including her entire run of Batgirl, so I can share those if you want! o/ Mostly I'd recommend looking for torrents, or talking to the rest of the DC cast.
Other:
- I love making icons. It doesn't matter if I haven't read your series yet (although it helps if it has decent art). I'm not as awesome as it as some of the players here, but I'm not too bad! o/ So feel free to ask me if you want iconmaking help, or if you want to know how I did a certain icon so you can try it yourself, or whatever. If you want me to make you icons, I just need the bases (they don't have to be icon-sized but it helps) and whatever you want me to do to 'em.
- Also, feel free to use any icons here, or to poke me if you want the unedited version of a manga icon. (The 00_, IN_, Misc_, and ZZ_ categories are unlikely to be relevant, but the rest are all appable or already-apped characters! I think.) I'd appreciate it if you let me know before using my icons, especially outside CFUD, because it tells me that someone liked them enough to use. :-) I'd also appreciate it if you credited me -- just sticking a sariel_di or whatever in the notes section is enough!
