Name: Jenn
Age: 20
Sex: Female
Location: Seattle
1. If you had to leave home, and you could only take with you what you could carry, what would you take? It all depends on the circumstances: if I had to leave home but knew that my house and loved ones were staying safe, I'd leave my cat with them. If not, she'd be the first to join me. :) Other than that I'd take the necessities of survival: mix-and-match clothes (to keep/get a new job), food, money, and anything else to continue making my way in the world...on my way out I'd put my sentimentals and writing in a safety deposit box, as there would be too much to carry. When it comes down to survival, emotions are, horridly enough, last on the list.
2. Do you believe in love at first sight? In a sense...I believe in knowing, just knowing, that a person will impact your life in a major way.
3. What animal do you feel you most relate to and why? I would have to say a lion, because they're very pack-oriented, but the females do what they have to do to survive: they stalk, kill, and bring back food to their young and mates, take care of the other in the group, and mate to carry on their way of life. They're very connected to each other.
4. All time favorite cartoon character and why? I really liked the workaholic carebear (can't remember his name) when I was little, because that's how my mom was. There was a song that always stuck in my head, where he'd sing: "Work to dooooo..." I watched that tape over and over...My TRUE favorite (though he wasn't a cartoon, but a puppet) was Oscar the Grouch. I didn't like him at all until, when I was fairly young, I saw an episode that showed Oscar taking care of a toy that Snuffelupagus lost, then giving it back to him in perfect condition. When the big elepahnt-thing thanked him, he basically said, "Eh, no big deal" and dropped into his can in a huff...I then realized that Oscar was really a nice guy that just wanted to look tough. (I know, I was a stupid child and it took me a while..)
5. If you could be anyone for one day, who would it be and why? I deal with a lot of crap, but I'm used to my own...I don't think I want to try on anyone else's shoes, let alone their drama. I'll stay where I'm at, thanks. ;)
6. If you had a choice of wearing pink sparkly cowboy boots, or a purple poka dotted thong outside your pants for one day, which would you pick and why? Cowboy boots, because a: they're comfy once you work them in (used to ride), and b: jeans cover them. So I'll be slighty pink-stylin, but not too hardcore.
7. Name your favorite band/singer/song artist (this means one) and a recommended song by them. I've recetly fallen in love with Ani DiFranco even more, and would highly recommed downloaded the "WTC poem." A lot of Ani's stuff is beat poetry, and this one is very politically-oriented. If you're not into that scene or not from the US, download an older song of hers: "Not a Pretty Girl."
8. If you were a super hero, what power would you want and why? I would want to be able to see the future, and show people what good they can do in the world; show people their life means so much more than they think it does.
9. What do you sleep in/with? My cat loves to curl up between my two comforters (I freeze at night) and sleep next to my stomache. :)
10. What's the craziest thing you've ever done. Talked back to my friend Garrett...who's a black belt, and was drunk at the time. I hit a nerve, and if it wasn't for a good friend seeing us with our fists raised I'm pretty sure I would have gone to the hospital that night.
Name anything you think would be useful to us about yourself: The most useful thing I bring to rating communities is my blunt honesty. I will tell a person exactly what I think of them, but try not to use unneccessary cruelty to do it. There's no reason to call them a cunt, but there IS reason to tell them why you disagree.
