Actually, for once, this wasn't meant to be a direct moan about my current home life situation. Lola wasn't being out of order or anything, at all. It's just a more generalised feeling of discontentment about responsabilities and expectations. I've felt the same way through most of my adult life. I just constantly want to tell everyone to go away. Very selfish but undeniable none the less. I wanna be melmouth the wanderer but in real life you end up having to compromise and it always feels a little uncomfortable. Unless of course you're Radiguet or Strindberg or someone. You should definately read it.
Why don't you write a novel - surely you're fitted for that? And then you'd have lots of money for absinthe...And then you could stop writing novels or pretend to be dead and then you'd have all sorts of people mourning the death of your muse and they'd attribute it to absinthe and ban it again.
Oh believe me, that plan was in action ages ago. I'm working on it very slowly. In lieu of royalty checks from my yet unfinished (ahem barely started) novel, I'm thinking of transferring food funds to the absinth kitty just to speed the whole process up.
