Just when I was thinking that having a Myspace account was a complete waste of time, my best friend from senior school finds my Myspace page and gets in contact. It was a bit of a shock seeing his name on the mail. Apparently he just wrote my name into the search motor and there I was in all my glory ( Read more... )

I don't know if I think it's worrying.
I think it has the potential to be a little disturbing but in the end there's no harm to it. Peoples secrets can be scary though.

I think there's something slightly disturbing about the sort of secrets that could turn up on it. A sense that perhaps there's somethings you just don't want to know.
I think there's something very exhilirating/disturbing about brutal honesty. A lot of them even though they were very touching and sensitive also made me laugh out loud. Not cause they were neccesarily funny but because I was so unused to seeing things put so bluntly. They were so honest that I could feel the truth of them but at the same time how impossible it was for this truth to be out spoken.
I kinda think I imagine it a bit like the tree in In The Mood for Love. A repository of anonymous secrets dislocated from consoquence or cause. And in the same way there's something very sad about them. But also uplifting, just in that it has that non judgemental quality to it. Everything's equal.
Or something along those lines.
