As my mother once said to me (and indeed I often find that a mother's advice is amongst the most profound and worthwhile that you ever recieve) "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all". True, this was with reference to sibling relations and true, it's value in the outside world is ambiguous, it is however useful when writing ( Read more... )

Thank you, Hopefully I'll manage more than one entry every few months as well. That would be nice.

Normally such a wise woman your mother.....should have been disowned though for saying something so twee.

Did I really say that? If so I probably should practise what I preach more!
Great to hear from you (read you...whatever)on here. Did you get my e-mail?

Oh you said it many many many times. Though it may have been tongue in cheek, I was too young to get the subtleties.
Yep thanks a lot, not had time to check it out but it looks really useful, sorry I meant to email you back and express my gratitude properly.

I really thought I'd like it more on second viewing but I just didn't. Strangely I've found that people who have a slightly less worshipful view of RTD than I do, liked it better, so perhaps it was something to do with expectations.

But yes S3 I almost certain is going to be a fucking wonder. I was slightly anxious before s2 but this year we've got Paul Cornel 2 parters, Moffat doing whatever he wants for an episode and being very scary (apparently), Gareth Roberts, Helen Raynor, more stories off earth, Shakespeare, 30s New York etc etc. Very very exciting and the trailer just looks brilliant. I'm starting to feel faint and I should probably stop.
