The old man and the mountain

I've been the geekiest of the geeks this week and it's been great. I think much as I might try to claim I've changed I'm still pretty much the same as I was at 14. Actually I'm starting to think that if I try to look at my life through the eyes of my 14 year old self I'd be pretty chuffed. I do roughly the same sort of things but with more money, ( Read more... )

Nice to know I don't just bore everyone with those entries. It's still not a frame of reference that I'm entirely comfortable in. 24 years of being anti-children doesn't really disappear in two years of having one. So I never really knew how to talk about fatherhood, or how to assimilate in any meaningful way, still don't really. Don't take offense, for some reason my computer doesn't like myspace - it lets me log in sometimes but as soon as I try to do anything it throws me out again and shuts down the internet for good measure - so I read your message but haven't been able to answer.
Now I'm up to speed as well and have begun my life as VM forum whore. I was amused but not really suprised to find that pretty much like any fandom ever - the only thing that VM fans have in common with one another is how much they hate VM. It's kinda depressing.
I have to say I really liked the spit and eggs episode. The one were Mercer got nabbed.
