We are an RPG of epic warfare. So here's a Meme to list our characters' combat abilities.
Link (
umbral_persona): Link reincarnates after death and each new incarnation possesses latent memories of the warrior who came before it. Twilight Princess reflects this. Link will unlock more abilities as this RPG progresses, but for now he has:
Ending Blow: Link knows how to swiftly defeat fallen opponents by leaping up and impaling them.
Shield Bash: Link bashes enemies in the face with his shield to stun them.
Back Slice: Link rolls behind an enemy then leaps up and spin slashes in them in the back.
Helm Splitter: Link flips over an enemy and cracks their helms with his sword.
Mortal Draw: With a well-timed quick draw, Link can surprise enemies and kill them in one blow. This leaves him vulnerable if he mistimes.
Link is a swift warrior and can learn to use a wide array of weapons. With Midna's help he can turn into a Wolf which allows him to see otherwise invisible entities such as ghosts.

Guybrush Threepwood (
speaks_to_loas: Guybrush is a clever lad who can take things apart and build them into apparently useless devices. He is a master of "McGuyver"ing and he dabbles in Voodoo but has no real combat skills.
----
Ryle
auric_avarice: Ryle is a speedy Wood Elfin treasure hunter. He is flexible and a great jumper which makes him a master of trap evasion. Like a ninja. He can also identify many items and appraise their value. In battle he has:
(Time Stalkers abilities)
Reverse Trap: Ryle can cause traps intended for him to go off on pursuit.
Clairvoyance: Ryle can sense the presence of magic or magical items.
Armageddon: A frenzied multi-slash attack with a sword.
(Landstalker abilities)
Flame Sword: A sword strike that engulfs an enemy in flames.
Thunder Sword: A sword strike that hits enemies with a bolt of electricity.
Ice Sword: A sword strike that will shoot a whirlwind of ice at the enemy and freeze it.
Gaia Blade: A sword strike that will cause an earthquake that will hurt any enemy in range.
----
Vyse Dyne (
king_of_rogues): Vyse fights with the Vorlik Blades, a pair of cutlasses crafted from an alloy that is light as a feather but hard as a diamond. One blade, held in his "off-hand" faces backwards and is held by a long side grip jutting from the crosstree. This blade is used to parry off attacks and do backslashes. The other blade is heavy (it has a metal lining) and meant for cleaving.
He has many different combat abilities, all of which have names, and he is the sort to shout the name of an attack as he uses it. The attacks are:
Cutlass Fury: Vyse viciously attacks one enemy with his swords. He can use this when threatened.
Counter-Strike: Vyse goes into a defensive pose, cutting the damage he takes by half and counter-attacks all attacks made against him. He can do this at will.
Rain of Swords: (Evocation) Vyse jumps into the air and rains shards of energy down on all enemies. He can use this only when his health drops below half.
Skull Shield: (Summoning) Vyse channels his spirit to summon the ghost of the great Sky Pirate, Daccat. Daccat's magic (Abjuration) protects all allies against normal attacks and counter-attacks them. Usable when allies are nearly critical.
Pirate's Wrath: Vyse attacks one enemy with his swords and sends a explosive shockwave at it. Usable only when Vyse is critical.
Prophecy: (Summoning) Few people hold the Moon in higher esteem than Arcadians. Vyse, through his travels, has managed to harness Lunar power. Using Prophecy, Vyse shifts all beings around him about two or three sub-realities "to the left" where he literally pulls the Moon into the planet, causing massive damage to all of his enemies. The sub-reality resets itself after the move is used, allowing this ability to be used more than once despite its rather apocalyptic nature.
To use this ability requires spirit energy, more than is possessed by Vyse alone so he has to harness the energy of his companions which usually leaves them dizzy. Vyse himself uses all of his energy, resulting in a full-body red out that renders him senseless. Use of this move is extremely limited, due to the fact that it drains Vyse's life force and that he cannot use the move alone, without consenting friends to lend their power. He also lacks the ability to use this move at will. Sometimes it fails and he just passes out.
Vyse can also, of course, use Skies of Arcadia magic since the spells come from the Moonstones in his weapons (like Materia!). I'm too lazy to list what those are. You can read about them
here. As a note, I play him as not knowing the Silver spells Risan, Riselem, Eterni, Eternes and Eternum at this point. For obvious reasons. He's not as good at magic as his lady friends anyway.
----
Garrett (
lux_dormiens): Garrett has a secretive, deep magic that even he himself doesn't know about. As the Keybearer he can read and, if he chooses to, manipulate Keeper Glyphs. Keeper training also gave him limited psychic ability.
Mostly, he keeps to the shadows, and in them he can turn almost invisible. He can also move without making a sound. He's a heavily stealth-based character and he fails horribly at physical combat.
He does, however, have a
unique arsenal.

Sareth (
devil_messiah): Yeah right? What do I look like, the girl who's NOT lazy? Drink your fill of Sarethisms over here:

Silver (
argent_eyes): Silver usually relies on his Pokemon for combat situations. Aside from that, he is a trained ninja-thief and incredibly clever when it comes to breaking and entering. While not a master of stealth, Silver can leap great distances, bound through trees, brace himself against rafters and do tremendous backflips. He is quite an acrobat.
