I don't really have a pattern for the nicknames I give my Pokémon... But they all seem pretty happy about the names I gave them!

Well, I haven't named very many of mine! But I've named a few of them after my friends. I just gave the other ones names I felt fit them... Or ones that I thought sounded cute.

Sometimes one, sometimes the other. I named my Magmar Daisy because she looks like a bird, and Daisy is a bird. But I named my Onix Goofy, because even though Onix doesn't look anything like Goofy, he's just as clumsy and loveable!

I would not quite say that I have developed a pattern for naming them~. But I suppose you could begin by naming them after friends?

Yes, I have been told the same. But I wanted to know other ways in case that I cannot name them after one of my friends.

In such a case, why not naming them after things you like? I have heard flower names for some of the villagers back home they are quite lovely and elegant~. Rika's name is written as "flower" too.

Do you have anything such as that to consider?

I suppose that could work perfectly. One of my friends named my starter as a flower, I believe I can gather more names about it around, if I were to follow a pattern.

I'm more familiar with weapons though...
