You know it's a sad word we live in, when we base our happiness off others. We do it all the time.
Fuck I know i've been doing it for years. Happiness...now that's a word isn't it? It can come in many
forms. I believe Denis Leary said it best "It could be a cookie, a cigarette, or a 10 second orgasm.

We just not longer have any need to really work to survive (I'm tallking hunting and shit).
We still need that mental drama to keep us going. At least that's my theory.
People that are struggling to keep food on the table don't involve themselves in the same drama as some west county motherfuckers...
Most happiness is based off of instant gratification. There are sooo many aspects in ones life to consider when someone asks you if you're happy. You might be happy with your job, but hate your family. You might be happy with your knowledge and hate you looks.
Not that I am trying to force this on anyone but that why Buddhism was so intruiging to me.
You have to teach yourself to live life in the moment. To see truth beyond posession. It's actually really interesting...
