Feeling down

And I know why. Tonight is the 1 year anniversary of my attempting CPR on a car vs. pedestrian and failing. The man, who was the same age as me, died that night. I didn't even know the guy, but have since learned that many of the people I work with had gone to school with him and knew him well. It was weird to drive past where it happened tonight.

Wow. What an experience. It was wonderful that you worked to save him, and I hope someday this will be a positive memory as opposed to a traumatic one. Your effort meant a lot, regardless of the inevitable outcome.
