Hey SAmi, I've got a possible commission for you (if you can do it). Someone special to me lost a Very Important Snow Hat(tm) during my giant move of doom. Basically, to make a long, icky story really short, this person helped me get out of my old house quick-fast-and-in-a-hurry when my ex-gf flipped the fuck out and in the process lost a backpack full of stuff, including said hat. Here is a photo of the hat. It's based on the Leather Pride flag. So... what I was wondering is... would it be possible to crochet a hat that looks similar (only maybe even better?). I would want to stripe those colors in the order of the flag and maybe an improved shape such as one of the bear-shaped hats seen here or here? oh cuuuuuuuuuuuuute!
a) it can be done! b) i've got one paper to type up this weekend, and then exams, but exams take no time at all as i'm one of those irritating people who don't study, so i'm going to need things to do anyway in the coming days! c) i just checked the canada post shipping dates for getting-there-by-christmas and i'd say it looks entirely doable! d) let's say, 30 sound all right to you?
e) any preferences with regard to fibre content (ie. wool, acrylic, cotton etc) or should i just keep an eye out for whatever's soft and cozy and the right colours?

whatever's in the right colors will be great! And wahoo! $30 sounds entirely reasonable! I should be able to pay you some time next week (PS Is that $30 including the cost of yarn? because it's *shouldn't*-- let me know how much it costs to get your supplies, seriously!)
