It's starting to get colder.  I hope everyone's been keeping themselves warm.  I went out today to pick up some winter clothes, because I realized I hadn't gotten any yet.  I found a pretty big store with flannel and thermals-- if anyone needs help finding a store that sells warmer clothes, just ask, okay?

Also, to everyone in Coronet House is ( Read more... )

Are you going to serve commoner food?

If you don't want me to cook for you, I won't. It's not like you've been eating lavish food since you got here, you don't have a cook anymore. And, I don't believe any of you can actually cook for yourselves.

It would be of the lowest manners to refuse you.

It has been quite difficult to find food, yes... there are a few places in the Chinese area that have some, but it's few and far between.

[OOC: it's mostly just a day off work in modern Japan. There's no real festival or anything for it and there's no real special meal. Just contemplation on human rights. My otosan still went out drinking with his coworkers so...]

I'll take a look in that area, then, maybe they'll have more than what I found at the world food stores.

[ooc; Either way, it would be a day that she'd want to spend with friends?]

It's less of a "delicacy" than in western stores and is often better quality... at least we don't have to pay for it anymore.

[ooc: if she wants, although it's just not really a particularly special day in and of itself - mostly just business as usual, as is with most holidays. I was just more afraid that it was going to be a "well they have thanksgiving so it must be the same" sort of thing that so many people pull. I'm glad you actually did some research first ._.]

I think I preferred having to pay for it, I feel so bad, stealing from people. Because, there are still things they have to pay for, without giving handouts to a large portion of the city unknowingingly.

[ooc; XD There were no natives in Japan, I'm not silly enough to think Thanksgiving is worldwide, but I can understand the concern. Yeah, she was just going to have them over for dinner.]

You think so? It's not like I had to pay for it... I just went and picked it up. I like walking around the town, there's a lot to see in Template.

That's true- it's a lot bigger than the cities in most worlds. And some of the stuff you find is... unique.

A dinner prepared by... Haruhi...?

How could I possibly miss out on a special dinner prepared and served by someone who normally wouldn't be able to afford it! What time shall you want us over?

Wouldn't be able to afford--? [her generosity, it is already wearing thin] I'll start dinner at 4, but you're all welcome to come over whenever you'd like.
