Night has fallen and lights shine in the windows of the Sanctuary. The gates are open to friends and the household is out and about. The garden bushes are covered in orange and purple party lights and larger ones hang between poles and the trees. Ashley steps over the dogs. They're a bit bigger now but they're still puppies. Rugby sized instead of footballs. They're chewing on a piece of rawhide. She drops her towel on their heads and they leave the rawhide to attack this new toy. Ashley sticks her iPod into the speaker set up and cranks up the music. It's heavy on the rock and metal, which fits her mood at the moment. She begins to rip down the drop cloths covering her equipment and easels, dragging the heavy fabric to a better location. Ashley is standing on the roof, watching the city skyline. She's heard one of the new guys likes to hang out up here, but she's yet to actually meet Alex.

Ashley's talk with her mother was good, but there were some unsettling parts. She expected those but it doesn't make her feel any better. She's not sure she really wants to hit the gym; hitting a punching bag is violence she doesn't want to give in to right now. Instead she's stalking through the halls. Henry's just about done with the upgrades here. He wants to know if you got his email about the network upgrades he wants to do when we get home. I want to know if there's anything you want me to check out in China before we head to Japan.
