It's official, Glee has eaten my brain. I've been a viewer since the beginning but resisted getting into yet another fandom...and yet...I give up! I am powerless in the face of this kind of awesomeness:
Well, Kurt and Blaine are about as adorable as a basket of frolicking puppies, so that's a duh.
It kind of started a few weeks back with rm posting a college Kurt/Blaine series that drew me in because her stuff is awesome and I was like "if anyone can make a Glee fic revolving around Kurt and Blaine I know I'll like, it's her." It spiraled from there, which wasn't hard once she posted a brief rec list of great fics.
I've been poking through kurt_blaine, and the weekly rec posts have been invaluable for finding some of the better stories out there. What I'd really like to find is just more stuff that's gen or includes more of the characters than just Kurt and Blaine with side helpings of Mercedes or Wes or whatever. I read "Tear the Roof off the Sucker" by lennoxave and the WIP "Gaily We Promenade" by caroline_shea and really enjoyed the interplay between all of the characters. So if you have anything like that, or, you know, anything featuring Lauren Zeises because she is kick-ass

This delicious has a ton of great across pairings and genres, so that's a great place to start! I've been working my way through it and I've enjoyed everything.
As for icons, I've found a lot of great stuff here.
Anyway, that was kind of a linkdump, but I hope you like them! I hadn't seen the caroline_shea fic and I haven't gotten to read rm's Glee stuff yet, so thanks for those. :D
I've read a few other things by lookninjas that have been fantastic, but not the thing you linked to. Yay!
rm has 4 stories posted so far in her series with plans for 2 more, I believe. Very good stuff.
And you're in for a treat with caroline_shea. I've enjoyed all of her other stuff, not just the story I mentioned earlier. But "Gaily We Promenade", I'd hate to oversell it, but it's just soooo good. Particularly the second chapter, which I think very much emulated and exemplified the style/aesthetic of the show itself, when it's at its best.

I have a shit ton of bookmarks for Glee stuff, so if there's any pairing you'd like recs for, I'd be happy to share. :D

On the K/Bl front, this ongoing fic by herostratic is one of my favorites, as is everything lookninjas has done in her Born to Run 'verse.
More gen-focused fic: this one by kappamaki33 and anything tamakito
