I've said I don't believe this place is a dream. Even if it was, if I was deeply sedated enough, shooting myself should have gotten me into limbo. This is the same place I left - where people know me even though I don't remember them at all. Nothing. The only person who I do recognize is Eames and he's too complex for a projection, even of himself.

But the chances of both of us being caught off guard and put under aren't high. And why would anyone bother? There's Cobol, but if it was them then it'd just be me down here. Wherever here is. Maybe Cobb, though I'm guessing some of Saito's reach still extends far enough to protect him.
And Cobol is sloppy. I didn't like working for them in the first place.

They call themselves deities. Well I don't exactly buy it but there's no one else to bargain with is there? Who ever heard of bargaining for a life anyway? It's something out of a storybook, or, I guess, a dream (not any dream I ever had though.) My totem doesn't do shit here and I guess when things went bad with Mal I should've thought about it more. I should have figured out a different way to check, but I didn't. But if I can walk around without a pulse that's as good an indication as any. The rules are different or there aren't any, that I know of, so. Time to adapt.
Guess that's one thing I can do.
