It's funny what you said about people with degrees.
A friend of mine who used to be a college mate dropped out of the IT course we did. He always loved his compys and knew prettymuch everything about win/unix. He just didn't do well in college IT. I guess because it bored him. He dropped out, our dean even told him to his face that he'd end up going nowhere in life.

Well, while most of the people who graduated from that course (including myself) were put into jobs in small computerstores or as helpdesk employees, making not even half as much as they said we would, he was hired as a Sysadmin at Sun Microsystems driving a company lease car and probably making over twice asmuch we were lol.

So I've seen it.
Really pisses me off to realise that I've been poked and prodded into wasting 5 years of my life where I could've made money lol.

So ya won't hear me saying "Kids, stay in school!" again anytime soon :P

lol i wouldnt quite go that far :) stay in school sure get your degree,

but PLEASE PLEASE at least put the crap amount of knowledge they give you to use and go learn for yourself, dont be like 99% of uni students who come out wave there paper and only know what there course taught em... which in the real world is feck all :)
