I figure, you judge creativity, in this situation, by what they want. And I've always had a problem with that unless they want you to be honest with yourself and as good at, uh, heading in your own direction as you can be.

And, yah, stuff you care about is always nerve wracking but you just gotta kinda learn to enjoy that feeling. Life seems to generally flow better when you figure in the nervous headaches as part of the challenge, haha.

Applying to MFA programs was by far one of the most frustrating things I've done, but it wasn't as bad as some of the fiction kids I hear. I mean, all I had to do was hunt down someone to replace Abani's letter of recommendation, since he had disappeared on me.
Mostly it's the writing that stands out.
I had a 2.95 cummulative GPA, but a 3.81 GPA in my major. And my GRE score was average (1100). So mostly it's all a formality for the MFAs.

I agree with what was said earlier. It's all subjective. And you should try and retry. I think if I were to reapply to some of the schools I had applied to before, I don't think I would have gotten in, but the two that rejected me, I think I would have possibly gotten into.

Meh.

Hi Ling!
