Been here almost a month and I am still enjoying my time here. This Thursday I begin my Korean lessons. I want this to be the first stop in me becoming fully integrated into Korean culture. Cool moment today at school
While I was walking around my class today reading the the listening exercise I had this rush of feeling like I was actually teaching. It was a good feeling, I can't quite describe it but it was just rewarding. Walking around the class room and having kids ask me questions about English was also pretty cool ( Read more... ) -
First week almost done
So I am done with my first week of teaching. It was not bad, I gave a self introduction, next week is when the fun starts though. I will be giving my first real lesson next week, it will be based off the text book they use in class ( Read more... ) -
Life in Korea
So I have been in Korea for about 10 days now, so far it is not bad.I know for sure that I will need to learn the language. I went out to dinner last night and nobody in the restaurant could speak english. I simply pointed at a dish and they brought it to me ( Read more... ) -

Back in oregon
So I am in Oregon for one week, 4 days in southern oregon and then the weekend in portland. I am going to make a stop in Eugene for lunch on Friday. So if you live in the Eugene area and want to eat Toshi's with me let me know ( Read more... ) -
Going to Oregon one last time
Well I have decided to make one final trip up to Oregon before I leave for Korea.
It is going to be around the end of the month. I already have plans to hang out in Portland around the time that Mendel is there.
So yea, that is all. -
Final I got a company to say yes
So since Japan was being jerk asses I decided to look at Korea.
Today I got news back that I got a teacher job in Korea and that I will be teaching in Seoul.
