Short description of art: All Jensen knows is he's been in the hospital with a serious head injury and now has amnesia. He doesn't remember much about his life with Misha. He thinks they may have been in a relationship, though Misha is reluctant to speak about it out of fear of overwhelming him. But Jensen wants to remember. While Misha is out, Jensen gets into the room that Misha's kept locked and starts to explore for clues to who he is. The room's windows have been bricked up. There's nothing in the room but a wooden desk. The strangest thing is someone has written a message on the desk with a Sharpie, a message that says, "TELL MY PARENTS I LOVE THEM." The message only drives Jensen on, and he breaks into a locked drawer and begins to take things out, to spread them across the desk. The story that the items tell is so devastating that Jensen has to stop.
Yes, I wanted me some dark!fic when I came up with this one. Inspired by the Stephen King story "A Good Marriage" and an episode of "Medium" entitled "A Changed Man." What if you woke up one day and discovered that someone you love was not at all the person you thought they were? What if you discovered that YOU weren't the person you thought you were? What if it was worse than you ever could have imagined?
