Totally delicious -- you depicted Charles' thoughts and worries and perceptions with such detail that I really felt immersed in his POV, and so everything came across really powerfully (particularly the love scene *swoons*). I love how you drew out the distance/privacy/intrusion-->trust between them, each awkward or ashamed in their own way but finding reassurance and contentment with the other. Just lovely stuff all around.
