My neighbor, who got carried off in a stretcher, I guess was having a baby. She is a 16 year old kid! Acording to her little brother the baby is dead, which is really sad. The sheer age here (16) threw me for a loop, untill I thought about it. You can see the same thing everywhere in Galesburg and sadly enough, here too. It's not a local phenominon by any means. Actually... *searching for a .gov address in bookmarks* Got it. The age of expectant mothers has dropped significantly in the last 10 years or so. Down to 18 from 24. Looks like the message isn't getting through in schools, government funding or no. Then again, you said it first... "People are stupid" ^.^

Pride is often a defence mechamism. but a cundrum for you-- Woudl you rather them have an abortion?

Why is that even an issue? Or course they should have aborted the baby!! What are they thinking?

Yes but some( not me personaly mind you) have very storng oppions against abortion.

I guess, wether or not a teenager gets an abortion could depend on how willing her family members are to help raise the baby. Even then, the kid will grow up in a screwed up family environment. What ever happens will be horrably unfair to the baby.
