Thank you everyone for the sympathy! It's really weird, she wasn't even technically my cat, but I miss her enormously. Everywhere in the house there are these odd physical traces... tufts of hair on the couch, scattered bits of food and litter, her old cat stairs. And it's SO unnervingly quiet.
